The subject is「私 (I)」and the predicate is「専攻している」. The literal translation of「専攻している」is “have been majoring” or “be majoring.” Therefore, we did not use “My major is” in the English meaning. “My major is Japanese history in my university.” is「大学での専攻は、日本史です。」.
